We use equipment and machinery imported from Italy using the latest technology and know how in ice cream making, locally grown fruits and ingredients from Cornwall, the finest imports of vanilla and cocoa, milk and cream produced on the farm here at Tremedda make up our ice cream.

Using a batch making process rather than continuous for all of our ice creams and sorbets we only make small amounts at a time, therefore the emphasis is on producing a product of the very highest quality. It takes roughly two litres of milk to make one litre of ice cream and on average each sorbet is two thirds fruit. With more substance and less water and air you ll find our ice cream alot denser, richer and less icy than others aswell as tasting far more luxurious. We guarentee that with our ice cream you will get alot more for your money.

The picture to the right shows Nicky Monies taking ice cream out of the machine in our newly converted ice cream parlour at Tremedda which infact was once a milking parlour in the early 1900's when Nickys great grandmother farmed here. Equipment was fitted in 2006 for ice cream production and was partly financed with objective one money.

Now into our third year of making ice cream on the farm we have refined the manufacturing process we use aswell as expanding on our wide range of flavours and the ingredients we use to make them. At Moomaid of Zennor our ice creams and sorbets have never tasted so good and in 2009 we look to expand and produce more whilst keeping what we our about in mind - a small family run business producing good quality cornish ice cream.
